Frequently Asked Questions

BullGuard Support offers you a wealth of resources

I renewed but BullGuard still shows as expired. Why?

After a given subscription is extended, the BullGuard application needs to establish a connection with our servers, to receive the updated status of that subscription. While this is done automatically after some time you can also perform a manual status check in the application to make sure the new status is displayed right away.

To do this, open the BullGuard application from Start > All Programs > BullGuard, next click on the Settings button located in the top right hand corner of the BullGuard main window > General. Finally click on the Check status button.

If this does not rectify the remaining subscription time, verify that the username from the top of the General screen matches the email address you renewed on. If it does not, please follow this guide in order to relog in with your paid account in the BullGuard application.

Should you require any further assistance you can browse through the rest of our FAQs here or click on the Live Technical Support button below and start a LiveChat or send us an email.

Where can I find my license-key?

A license key is issued only with a new BullGuard order. If you perform an order using an e-mail address which previously had a similar subscription associated with it, that order will be considered a renewal order and no license key will be issued for it.

In case of a new order, the license key will be displayed at the end of the purchase process, along with the invoice. This information will also be sent automatically via e-mail to the address used during the purchase.

What is happening with my payment?

An order can take more or less to complete, depending on the payment method selected for it. Some payment methods such as ones through credit card or PayPal result in the order being considered as being completed after a very short amount of time (from a few minutes to a few hours) because of the nature of those transactions, even if they actually take place later.

However some transactions, such as bank transfers, require youto perform the payment by yourself and the payment process itself in this case takes place over a longer period of time (up to 2 weeks or 10 working days). The BullGuard subscription corresponding to such an order will only be fully extended after the entire amount reaches our accounts.

This is why we activate the first 14 days from the ordered subscription for bank transfer or cheque payments – to allow access to the desired service until the payment is actually completed. The full subscription period will be automatically activated as soon as our payment systems detect that the full amount has reached our accounts.
